Governor Napolitano has a problem on her hands. Her campaign applied for matching funds for a flyer that the Arizona Republican Party printed, but did not mail. In their application they claimed that the flyer had been mailed. Oops!
In Arizona, it is a felony to knowingly apply for matching funds using false or stolen documents. The Republican party is claiming that the document in question was stolen from their headquarters. The news is reporting that there was no sign of a breakin and the lock and the case where the flyers are being kept are intact, with no damage. That would tend to rule out a thief breaking into the Republican headquarters, breaking into the box where the flyers are stored and making off with one or more documents.
It does not rule out two other scenarios that would enable the Democrat party to obtain the document. The first is that there is a mole in the Republican headquarters. The mole removed one or more documents prior to locking them up in the box. I would tend to doubt this scenario. The mole would undoubtedly be questioned. Any guilty party can only maintain lies for a short time. It would hold through the election, but not much longer. Napolitano could not risk that happening.
Scenario two is more likely. It is that when the flyer was printed, the printer printed one or more extra copies and gave them to the Democrats. Printers routinely print a test copy to determine if the settings are correct. The test copy is usually put in with the print order and nobody ever knows about this. I used to run a printer for a time and this was common practice. It would be easy to take one or more copies at the printer and give them to the Democrats. The printer would not have the loyality that the Republican party would have. They may have a contract to deliver so many copies and they would do that. I am not suggesting that they would deliver a smaller number of pages. The owners of the print company would most likely not do something like this. It most likely was an employee of the company that strongly supports the Democrat positions. This person could easily remove the papers without anyone knowing about the removal. The employee is also not likely to be questioned about the removal. It may not even be known that the person was even in the general area of the printer at the time of the printing. This scenario is much more likely.
The Democrat party claims that the flyer showed up anonymously. That still does not absolve them of the responsibility to make sure that the flyer actually was mailed. The note with the flyer probably mentioned that it was to be mailed on such and such date. The Democrats did not check. They were caught in a lie. They had to know it was a lie. They were trying to scam $50,000 out of the Clean Elections fund. This needs to be shouted from the rooftops. Democrats trying to cheat. They are claimiing that it was an innocent mistake. We all know that if the shoe was on the other foot, Republican heads would roll and people would see jail time. I am not even asking for jail time for participants. I am just asking that everyone know that Democrats cheat. They knowingly cheat. They try to cheat. Everyone should be informed of that fact. I hold no faith in the MSM in Arizona carrying the ball on this one. The best would be small articles on back pages.
Welcome to the world of Arizona politics. Democrats cheat here, just like they do back east. It just turns out that we have more Republicans to counter their cheating here in Arizona. We can usually overcome their cheating. Napolitano wants illegals to vote, that way she can insure that Democrats will always win. We have to stop her before she manages to give illegals the vote.
