Here is the picture that doomed John Kerry to the non-apology.
I love the message the picture gives. It is simple and straight forward. There is humor and thought. It is the perfect answer to the original message given by John Kerry in California. This picture probably doomed John Kerry's presidential hopes for 2008 as well.
I have heard many in the MSM (main stream media) claim that this blow-up over John Kerry's remarks will blow over and not be important in the election next Tuesday. I think they are wrong. Too many people have had their eyes opened for that to be true. Too many people now see the Democrat party for what it IS, not what it says it is. This cannot be good for the Democrat party. They have to hide what they are and what they believe to win.
Nancy Pelosi has not been seen for almost two weeks now. She is supposed to be the next Speaker of the House. As the next Speaker of the House and third in line to be President of the United States, you would think she would be visible for all to see. No, she is silent as a church mouse. Why, because when she speaks, the Democrat approval rating goes down. The more she talks, the lower the Democrat party gets.
Other Democrats are saying that they believe in true Republican principles. They say they are better Republicans than their Republican opponents. They believe in smaller goverenment, lower taxes, strong military and so on. How much do I believe of that mush, none. They are just saying it to get elected. When they are elected, watch out. They will come and take your income and squeeze every penny out that they can. They will take money from constitutionally mandated programs like national defense and spend it on programs that are not constitutional.
Are Republicans perfect? No. But, they are so much better than the alternative. We need to work to get better candidates. The problem is that good people do not want to be a candidate. They see all that good people go through to get elected and stay elected. They say that they can make more money in private business and without all the hassles. They are right. They need to have a higher sense of civil responsibility. We will not get better candidates until we get the gotcha campaign out of campaigning. That will not happen any time soon. The Democrats have only that as their weapon to win.
Our goal should be to elect the best we can now. In the next election, we should try to improve the people that serve us by electing better people. If we do that for a few election cycles, we might actually have enough good people in goverenment service to make a difference. I am not holding my breath. The Democrat destruction machine is too effective at keeping them out of politics.
