We are over five years into the war on terror and are still waiting for Muslims to come out rejecting terrorism. Every now and then we hear one on the radio or in person. Today, we heard one on the radio with Laura Ingraham. But, there are far too few to make any difference. The ones that speak out are also individual citizens like me. They are not the big name leaders that have to make the statements to be effective.
If christians were committing acts of terror, there would be no shortage of important leaders speaking out against that tactic. There would be large protest rallies to protest against killing innocent people. All of that is lacking in this war on terror.
We are constantly told that Islam is a religion of peace. If that were true, we would not be searching for an Islamic leader to denounce killing innocent people. If Islam were a religion of peace, Muslims would be marching in the streets of every country denouncing Al Qaeda, Hezbollah and others that commit murders in the name of Islam. The silence is deafening. We are still waiting.
Islam has always spread by the sword. That has been true since the religion began. No country has ever voluntarily became Muslim. Every country that became Muslim did so either after being conquered,or by the threat of being conquered. There are some individual converts to Islam. They are relatively rare.
There are few living people that have left Islam as a religion. Why? Because if you leave Islam, you will be killed. Compare that to Christianity, there are a lot of converts to Christianity. There are a lot of people that are former Christians. Why? People are not killed when they leave a Christian religion. People are brought into a Christian church through love, not threat of death.
Looking at Islam as a whole one would have to conclude that the religion is not a religion of peace as practiced by current and former believers. It could be a religion of peace, if they practiced what they have written in their Koran. They would also have to remove the parts that allow them to kill infidels and apostates. But, it could become a religion of peace. As currently practiced by the Imams and Mullah's and other religious leaders, it is a bloody religion. There are killings going on all the time that are acceptable. A religion of peace would not allow these killings to go on.
Until Islam reforms itself into a religion of peace, I will consider it to be a religion of killing. It kills those that do not believe as they do. It kills those that stop believing as they do. It kills women that have been raped. It kills women that will not marry someone they do not want to marry. It treats women as second class citizens.
For all these reasons and more, I oppose Islam. I do not believe that a Muslim can be trusted with national secrets. Would their allegiance be to Islam or the United States? Until that is answered all Muslims have to be suspect. That does not mean all Muslims are bad. It just means they have to be checked out before they are trusted.
