Yesterday, I put forth the idea that it was time to end Operation Chaos. I still think that it is time to end Operation Chaos, but after the flap over the ad in North Carolina I am thinking that maybe we need to continue.
The ad in North Carolina links Barack Hussein Obama, Reverend Wright and the Democrat candidate for Governor. The ad is brilliant and let’s Reverend Wright spew forth his hate for all to hear. John McCain has asked the North Carolina Republican Party not to run the advertisement. The Democrats and the media are denouncing the North Carolina Republican Party as racist. There is nothing racist about the advertisement. The ad just points out that Obama is connected to Reverend Wright and that the Democrat candidate for Governor is also a Democrat. That is guilt by association. The Democrats do it all the time and nothing is said. Mrs. Clinton is running ads that are much worse than this one and she is not being called a racist.
The Leader of the Republican Party in North Carolina was on TV last night and stuck to her guns. She said they will run the ads and that they were not racist. That is courageous for her to do. We need more Republicans like her that have backbones. We do not need Republicans that do not have backbones. We have an overabundance of those in Washington right now. We need to weed out a large number. Unfortunately, to weed out the ones without backbones would replace them with Democrats without spines. That is even worse than a Republican without a spine.
Operation Chaos is getting the two Democrat candidates to cut each other up for the Republican nominee. I never thought that John McCain would be so squeamish about running ads about Democrats. We need to tell the truth about Democrats. We cannot go telling the Democrat lie about Democrats and expect to win. We have to be free to call Democrats exactly what they are. Too many Republicans think that we have to “play nice” with Democrats and then they will “play nice” with us. That will never happen. Democrats come with the long knives out all of the time. We are expected to put our knives in our scabbard and then take whatever the Democrat dishes out. We cannot win if we play the game the Democrats way. We have to be free to tell the truth wherever we find it.
The part of Operation Chaos that I think needs to be ended is the voting for Democrats. The fight between the two will continue until their convention in Denver. Neither candidate will withdraw. Both of them have a case to be made to the Super Delegates that they deserve the honor of the nomination. The Super Delegates are the ones with the problem. Having the Super Delegates was a hedge to prevent another George McGovern. With this election it has gotten out of hand. People can see the fallacy of having the Super Delegates at all. There is something to be said for having some slots for Governors, Senators and Congressmen. The problem is they have too many Super Delegates to be just the elected officials.
One thing this election has highlighted is that nobody wants a Democrat administration to have control over health care. If they cannot even run their own primary in a reasonable manner, how can they be expected to run 1/7th of the economy with any effectiveness? The answer is they cannot run 1/7th of the economy with any degree of effectiveness. They would run it less effective than they have run the primaries this election season. Democrats have failed to run any of their programs effectively. Every one they started has cost many times the original estimate. Every one is causing more problems in the economy than it was ever intended to solve. No Democrat program has ever solved anything. Even their most effective program, the Endangered Species Act, has been one giant problem for anyone unlucky enough to come into contact with it. It has helped some species of plant or animal survive and come back from the brink of extinction. But the cost to the economy and the environment has been tremendous. They are even trying to make it worse by including the Polar Bear which is not endangered and is increasing in number.
