There is just a little under a month to go in the election cycle. Since the Vice Presidential debate, it is good to see that the McCain campaign has not put blinders on Sarah Palin. They have let her be herself and she is knocking the socks off the Democrats.
Sarah is definitely getting under the skin of the thin skinned Democrats. She is highlighting that Barack Obama is for surrender in Iraq. He hangs around with terrorists like Bill Ayers. He also hangs around with criminals like Tony Rezko. When you add that all up, he does not see America like “we” do. After saying all that, the Democrats jump one step further and say we are calling him a traitor. We are not calling him a traitor, but we are calling him unfit to serve in the office of the Presidency.
A caller to the Dennis Prager show made the jump to traitor from Sarah Palin’s remarks. He was insistent that we were calling Barack Obama a traitor. Dennis finally got him to see that we had not called him a traitor, but that the caller called Barack a traitor. Then the caller was saying that we should not call Barack a traitor. The left loves to do this kind of thing. They take what we said, jump a step or two beyond where we stopped and then bash us for the additional steps we did not take.
Dennis Prager went over a couple of articles by leftist reporters that were saying that when Sarah Palin says, “He does not see America like we do”, she is really using a racist statement. The left does not see America the same as those on the right. If they did see America the same way, they would not be on the left. The statement is a true statement. There is nothing racist about it. There was nothing racist intended in using it. Trumping up that it is a racist statement is just an attempt to downgrade the comment into the disregard category. If you make it a comment that can be disregarded, then you have destroyed her argument. You cannot do that to the statement, because it is 100% true. She amplifies why it is true in a comment just after that when she says that America is the source for good in the world today. The left certainly does not believe that statement. But, we on the right do believe that statement.
Letting Sarah Palin connect with the people is a great thing. She can relate to common people, because she believes herself to be one. She really is a common person in the sense that pioneer women were common. The skills and courage she shows is just the courage and skills used by our forefathers when they settled this continent. The elite in the northeast and in California do not know what to do with an authentic American woman. They have not seen one for probably 100 years. We need an authentic American woman to lead our country. Sarah is that woman. I said it before and I will say it again, Sarah will be the first woman President. She is real. There is nothing fake or put on about her.
The McCain campaign needs to use her every day between now and November 4. The more the public sees of the real Sarah Palin, the better the chances of a McCain/Palin Presidency. I love the down home comments and the comments about Hockey Moms and Joe Six pack. They are the real Americans, let them loose to teach the elites a lesson they will never forget.
