For honest people, the global warming debate is over. Phil Jones, the leading scientist behind the global warming theory, admitted that there has been no warming since 1995. He also admitted that his data gathering was faulty and that all temperature data in the last 130 years is suspect.
Since nearly all proponents of global warming use the data provided by Phil Jones to back up their claims, this is a stunning announcement. Phil Jones went on to say that the warming at the end of the 20th century was typical and not unusual. In fact between 1880 and 1995 there were three time periods where the temperature went up. Two of those time periods were before carbon dioxide emissions increased. This also gives credibility to the skeptics who have said that any warming that occurred was natural. Phil Jones also acknowledged that temperatures in the medieval warming period were higher than today's temperatures.
The problem with the majority of the people in the global warming movement is that they are not interested in saving the planet. Their goal is something else. A majority of the leadership of the groups involved in supporting global warming have their roots in communism. After Russia fell, many committed communists transferred their loyalty to environmentalism. If you will observe that all the “solutions” to global warming involve socialist policies. Many of the early environmental leaders were forced out or got out when the communist leaning people became involved.
It is interesting that Al Gore has not been seen or heard from since Phil Jones announced to the BBC that the earth has not warmed since 1995. He also said that the earth has cooled since 2002. If Al Gore were honest, he would come out and make a statement that he had been ill informed. Unfortunately, Al Gore is not honest enough to make that statement. He will continue to talk and act as if global warming is a fact. Al Gore does not think that anyone that questions global warming is worth talking to or about. Since Phil Jones defected to the enemy, he is now an enemy. The problem with that is that Al Gore will try and use data from Phil Jones that Phil Jones says is not accurate. If you use data that you know is not accurate to back up your point, does that not show you are dishonest?
With this latest revelation it will be interesting to see if there is any impact on the other faculty members at my college. There are three of us that are skeptics and three that are believers. We three skeptics are validated as correct in our assertions that global warming is a hoax. The believers always looked down on us and mocked us as being unscientific on this issue. Now, they are the ones that are unscientific if they persist in holding to the global warming hoax. We have one that would not change his mind no matter what. The other two might waver when confronted with this new development. They at least have a scientific honesty that is honorable. They may have been duped by the global warming believers, but I think that their natural honesty will allow them to see the truth.
Politicians that believe in global warming will not change their mind. Global warming was going to be their key to total power. Now that the key has been shown to be made of dust, they will not give it up. They will continue to talk and act as if global warming is a fact. When public opinion finally forces them to change their minds, they will act as if they were skeptics all of the time. A career politician is a slippery fish to catch. An honest politician is almost an oxymoron. We will see how many politicians are honest and how many are in it for the power after this revelation. My bet is that 90-95% of politicians will not change their positions, even after being confronted with this bombshell.
