A couple of days ago, the public disinformation officer for Obama, Robert Gibbs, was asked if Obama knew anything about Black Liberation Theology. He hemmed and hawed a bit before saying that Obama is a main stream Christian. In other words, he did not answer the question. Robert Gibbs also made the comment that he did not know where Glenn Beck got the information about Black Liberation Theology.
Today on the Glenn Beck Program, Glenn was absent. The team answered Robert Gibbs on where they found the information about Black Liberation Theology. On the web site for the church that Obama attended for 20 years, it states that the theology of the church is based on Liberation Theology. If you look up Black Liberation Theology you find out that the church where Obama went for 20 years is given as an example of where Black Liberation Theology is taught. That should put to rest any question on whether Glenn Beck made up the information about the connection between Barack Obama and Black Liberation Theology.
What is Black Liberation Theology? It was started in the 1960’s by a black minister who was trying to reconcile Marxism and Christianity. Black Liberation Theology is the result of the marriage of those two incompatible ideas. Marxism is all about groups. Christianity is all about the individual. Black Liberation Theology is really just Marxism with Christian terminology applied to make it sound appealing. It is called Black Liberation Theology to appeal to blacks and get them indoctrinated into Marxism under the guise of Christianity.
The person who started Liberation Theology says that there are two groups, the oppressed and the oppressors. You belong to one of the two groups. If you are white you are an oppressor. If you are black, you are oppressed. In order for a white person to be saved in Black Liberation Theology he would have to repay all the things taken from the blacks over the years. For one thing that would be impossible. For another, that would not make any white person better or make any black person better. There is a lot of talk about “social justice” and income equality in Black Liberation Theology. Those are not ideas that started with Jesus or even in the Old Testament. Those are ideas that started with Karl Marx. The man who started it in the 1960’s added the black twist on Karl Marx.
Barack Obama sat in the pews at Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years. You would think that he would be familiar with Black Liberation Theology as that is what Jeremiah Wright taught. Robert Gibbs either just met Barack Obama or knows nothing about the man he works for. For Robert Gibbs to say that Barack Obama is a “main stream” Christian flies in the face of all the evidence. There is absolutely no evidence to prove that Barack Obama is a main stream Christian. There is a lot of evidence to show that he is an adherent of Black Liberation Theology. He sat in a church that preached Black Liberation Theology for 20 years and never complained about what he was being taught.
The tactic that Robert Gibbs used to denigrate Glenn Beck might have worked 20+ years ago. Today with instant communications, the tactic almost never works. It may work with people who only read left wing sources for the news because those sources only spout what the Democrats want you to hear. But for anyone who is tech savvy, the tactic is lame at best. It makes Robert Gibbs look uninformed and stupid, not Glenn Beck. It makes Glenn Beck look far more intellectual than Robert Gibbs or Barack Obama. That is because Glenn can immediately come back with his source material and make Robert Gibbs and Barack Obama look really stupid.
I think Robert Gibbs needs to clean up his act before he tries to pull another fast one over on another conservative talk show host. When the conservative host comes up with immediate facts to back up their statements, it makes Robert Gibbs look like he is uninformed and stupid. A few more of these kinds of incidence and Robert Gibbs will be assumed to be uninformed and stupid before he opens his mouth. Then he will be a walking talking joke.
