To sum up the opinion that the Obama administration has for private business, we need go no further than the raid last week by the Fish and Wildlife Service on the Gibson Guitar company. The Gibson Guitar Company was accused of using wood from an illegal source in their guitars. So, the government raided the company and took many guitars and basically closed the place down.
What is completely ironic about this entire affair is that the greenest company in the country is the Gibson Guitar Company. They belong to a large number far left leaning environmental wacko groups. They get all their foreign wood from approved vendors. They go out of their way to comply with every federal law on the books. So why were they raided? That is a great question.
On Michael Savage last night, he proposed one possible scenario that does make a lot of sense. He suggested that the reason is that a competitor of Gibson Guitars complained and paid off the Obama administration to have them shut down Gibson. With the level of corruption in the Obama administration, such a scenario is perfectly plausible. We would now have to find out who has been giving money to Obama that also makes Guitars. If we find a guitar maker that is giving money to Obama, we have our culprit.
One other scenario is that the Gibson Guitar Company is not unionized. The Obama administration wants all companies to be unionized. Since the Gibson Guitar Company refuses to unionize, and the employees refuse to vote in a union, the Obama administration decided to pull a strong arm and force things. This would be similar to the protection racket run by Al Capone in Chicago. He would raid your place and offer to protect you from further raids if you paid him off. That appears to be what is going on here.
As a result of the Obama administration interfering with the Gibson Guitar Company in Memphis, TN, they are now exporting some of those jobs overseas to protect themselves. People are now losing their jobs in Tennessee because of the actions of the federal government. That sounds astounding to me, but it is true.
Then, today a jobs report came out for the past month and it reports that zero jobs were created. That has not happened since January 1945. Couple that with the report that the economy has a 54.5% rating and it shows we are in real trouble. An economic rating much less than 90% and we have big problems. President’s generally don’t get re-elected with economic ratings below 90%. All of this points to the fact that Obama is in big trouble for 2012. Most Presidents get re-elected based on the economy, not world affairs, the economy stinks. If the economy stinks, then the chances of Obama being re-elected stink as well. That is good news for America because he would bring down a large number of other Socialist/Democrats as well. Any time we can reduce that number, the country comes out ahead.
