I was out sick the last couple of days so I was unable to write on the blog. A lot has happened in the world. The most interesting thing is that the Occupy wherever seems to be breaking up. Cities are stepping up to the plate and cleaning up the mess that these occupiers are making. The most active in this endeavor is Oakland, CA. Who would have believed that Oakland, CA would be the most active in getting rid of the occupiers? If you had said some southern city or mountain west city, I would have believed it. But, Oakland, CA is one of the more liberal cities in the most liberal of all states. That is astounding.
But the signs of a breakup are everywhere. The protesters have been raising money. They have accumulated so much money that they have had to open bank accounts in the very banks that they are protesting against. That is priceless. They have also had a problem with theft and fraud. That is the reason for the bank accounts, to cut down on the thefts and fraud.
The people cooking the meals for the protesters are staging a counter-protest. They are tired of cooking meals for the professional unemployed and street people. They are now only going to serve the basic necessities like brown rice to the protesters with the addresses of the local soup kitchens. The protesters have been bragging that they are eating better at this event than they do at home.
Someone in London got inventive and took pictures of the tents at their occupy event. The tents were almost completely empty. In other words the protesters are not sleeping at the occupy event. They go somewhere and sleep and come to the occupy location to stage their protest during the day. I have heard rumors that this is also true in New York and other cities around the country. Nobody has confirmed this by actually taking a picture showing the empty tents, but I expect that it is true.
These events are being organized in America by Acorn. Yes, that same Acorn that condoned underage prostitution in a series of videos last year. Acorn then officially disbanded, but their people all showed up to lead these occupy events. Now, not all the leadership comes from Acorn, some comes from the unions, primarily SEIU. But one thing these occupy protests are not is spontaneous. They are planned. The planning for these occupy events has been ongoing for at least a year and most likely longer.
Many of these protesters are being paid to be there. There was a Craig’s List ad asking for protesters that would like to be paid $650 per week. That is pretty soft duty to hang out in a park, sing songs, get fed well and receive money. Many thought the wages high enough that they quit their regular jobs and took the jobs as protesters.
The left is gushing at how wonderful the protesters are. They say that the protesters have a message that we have to listen to. But, when you compare the Tea Party protests and the Occupy protests you see a different picture. At the Tea Party protests, there were no arrests, no rapes, no police needed, and no cleanup afterward. In fact, most locations were cleaner after the protest than they were before the protest started. With the Occupy protests you see exactly the opposite. There have been numerous arrests, at least 5 rapes and probably more, and the places they are located in should be condemned as not up to human standards. When you compare the two, you see one that is responsible and trying to make positive change. You see the other trying to create chaos and create negative change. The reason is that the motives of the Tea Party are good and the motives of the occupy crowd are evil in their intent. I am not calling any individual occupy protester evil. I am saying that the people behind this have evil intentions and they are coming out.
