A short time ago, the computer files were hacked that contained sensitive emails from Global Warming Pushing Scientists to themselves. These files contained a treasure trove of information that details how the Global Warming Pushers have buffaloed everyone for so long.

Since they know that global warming is a crock, it is easy to “cook the books”. They did this in a number of ways. One was to add data to what they had to make the temperature levels rise or at least level out. Another was to ignore “inconvenient truths” that did not fit the model they wanted. By cooking the books and closing ranks around the false data, they made it extremely difficult to fight against the hoax that is global warming.

Anyone who strayed from the orthodoxy was ridiculed or even destroyed professionally. They played for keeps. They took no prisoners. They gloated when someone who did not believe as they did died and wondered how they could make more die.

They made sure that if you “believed” you got grants to fund research to your heart’s content. They only thing the believers asked in return was that the conclusion of your research supported global warming. Since they were the source of your funding, the scientists involved were very glad to oblige.

Now the fallout begins from the scandal. The leading climate scientist that has led the global warming cry in England for decades has resigned in disgrace. Other shoes will fall as the scandal widens and more people become aware of it. Politicians have to be shaking in their boots. Their grand design on your pocketbook is now in jeopardy. If the public becomes aware of the scandal, the ability to pass any cap and tax system will come crashing down.

Barack Obama is ignoring the scandal. Of course, he has surrounded himself with the most scientifically aware scientists in the world. That was sarcasm. His cadre of scientific advisors does not contain one scientist that believes in the truth. All of them are highly motivated supporters of global warming. As a result, the Obama administration is ignoring the scandal and going to Copenhagen. In Copenhagen, they hope to sign away US sovereignty for a reduction of 17% in greenhouse gases. You know the ones, those that you breathe in and out every breath. They make it sound like a pollutant, but plants require it for life and you produce it every breath. You are not about to produce a pollutant in your own body.

The best thing about the Copenhagen fiasco that Obama is going to commit is that it has to be confirmed by the US Senate. Now, generally that is a good thing, but in this case Democrats have 60 votes. But, I think even Democrats would have second thoughts about destroying the US economy if enough people contacted them. You never know, stranger things have happened. Also, Democrats occasionally do the right thing. I know it is rare, but it has happened. I can’t remember the last time it did happen, but it must have happened at some time during my lifetime.

For the second time, Barack Obama has embarrassed this country by bowing to a foreign ruler. This time he bowed to the Emperor of Japan. According to Japanese protocol, a bow like the one Barack Obama performed is done when one is trying to make amends for some wrong he/she committed. A normal bow to a head of state in Japan is a bow of about 45 degrees. This bow is of the 90 degree variety. It is similar to that bow/non-bow to the Saudi King.

Like I said at the time of the Saudi bow, American Presidents do not bow to anyone. Since George Washington was elected President there have been only two instances of American Presidents bowing to a foreign head of state. Both have come during the Presidency of Barack Obama. Something is really fishy when an American President bows to anyone. In this video, he even continues to give head bows to both the Emperor and his wife. This was almost too unseemly to watch. I thought Barack Obama had more respect for himself than that.

The announcer on the YouTube video said something interesting. He mentioned that the bow might be a result of Obama’s being raised in Indonesia all those years. I do not know the validity of that statement, but it does cause one to wonder what sort of training he received in Indonesia that is coming forward today.

What Barack Obama needs is a protocol guide to help him understand what he is supposed to do in these high level meetings. He is not Barack Obama private citizen. He is President of the United States. He needs to act like the President of the United States at all times when in foreign countries. If he wants to let his hair down in the United States, that is acceptable as we understand. Foreigners do not understand a President that is not acting as the President. That is too fine a line for a foreigner to draw. Americans know the difference instinctively. At least, I think that most Americans know the difference. If Obama knew the difference, he would not act like he is in foreign countries and with foreign leaders. That is why he needs someone to fill him in on what to do at all situations.

Right now, we have an embarrassment as President. He acts like he has never seen other Presidents when they have been in foreign countries. He acts like he has to make things up as he goes along. It does not matter that there are over 200 years of diplomatic protocol to guide him in these situations. He just goes in and acts like he thinks he is supposed to act as a citizen of the world. Most Americans do not buy into that citizen of the world nonsense. We are Americans and expect our President to act in a certain way. When our President does not act like we expect him to act, we are embarrassed as a nation.

When Bill Clinton was President, the New York Times got on his case for basically thinking about bowing to the Emperor of Japan. I shall wait with baited breath for the New York Times to excoriate Barack Obama for actually bowing to the Emperor. Obama did more than just bow; he bowed in subjugation to the Emperor according to Japanese custom. Our Rube in the White House probably does not even know what he did. Oh, well we have until 2012 until we can vote him out of office. Let’s hope there is an America there that can still vote in 2012. The way this bunch is going, I am not so sure that we may not recognize ourselves in 2012. That is a scary thought.

It seems that Barack Obama has heard enough criticism of his inappropriate behavior after the shootings at Ft. Hood. He went to an event honoring Indians and gave some light hearted remarks including some “shout outs” to people in attendance before commenting on the Ft. Hood shootings. To call his behavior insensitive would be to give the word insensitive a bad name. They were highly objectionable to anyone who had a loved one involved in the Ft. Hood events or that cared about what happened at Ft. Hood. Obama’s remarks since then have not been much better. They have been trying to make Islam seem like just an incidental part of the equation. They also are trying to portray the military as having problems that caused the event.

Today, Barack Obama is attending a memorial service for those killed at Ft. Hood. He is also expected to give a few remarks about the event. Hopefully, they will show a little more sensitivity than what he has displayed since the shootings occurred last week.

While Obama has been digging a hole in the shooting situation, more information has been coming out. None of it makes the FBI, CIA or US military look very good. We obviously knew of his ties to Al Qaeda for some time. Nobody was willing to take any action because of the potential backlash involving a Muslim. During the time between 9/11/01 and the shooting Major Hasan received a promotion to Major. This promotion occurred despite the number of negative reports that were out regarding his character and behavior. The people that rubber stamped his promotion have some questions to answer as well. How could an officer who was so obviously not performing well receive a promotion?

Major Hasan even gave a talk to Walter Reed Hospital officials where he outlined how the military should treat Muslim soldiers when fighting a Muslim foe. For this talk, Major Hasan was sent to Ft. Hood in a lower position.

The talk after 9/11/01 was that we needed to connect the dots in regards to potential terrorist activities. Major Hasan’s personnel file should have sent out so many red flags that the number of red flags available for other things would be limited. Despite the number of red flags in this case, nobody acted on them.

There are a number of people and groups that have to answer questions in this matter. We knew so much about what he was doing, yet nobody was willing to step up and stop him. Because nobody was willing to step up, we now have dead soldiers at Ft. Hood. The situation could have been worse, but for the brave woman who stood in his way.

The lesson to take from these shootings is this, that guns stop people from killing people. If the police officer who stopped the killer from his task had not been armed, he would have continued until he ran out of ammunition. He had a lot of ammunition with him that day. People that believe in gun control will take the message that we need to remove guns from people that obey the law. That just means it will be easier for these killers to kill more people. There will not be anyone there to stop them with a gun. The message should be to allow people to carry concealed weapons if they are trained in their use. That message was almost lost in Arizona. It was saved and now we have armed guards on duty on each college campus. Guns are also allowed if the concealed carry person notifies the security department that they carry a gun. Now the college is much safer than they were before. Those that believe in gun control were expecting a Wild West shootout every day. In the time since the law was passed there has not been a single incident involving guns on any campus in our district. That shows how valuable that law really is.

The elections yesterday showed that Democrats are in trouble everywhere. If they cannot win in one of the bluest states in the country with an incumbent, they will have trouble winning anywhere. In the big three races, two went for Republicans and one went for the Democrat. The win in Virginia for Republicans was particularly smashing as they won the top 3 spots. That is a political rarity in Virginia. In New Jersey, Jon Corzine should have won because the state is a sure victory for the Democrats every election. They have had Republican Governors from time to time, but they are rare. In the House race in New York, district 23, the Democrat narrowly won over the Conservative Party candidate. It is rare for a Democrat to hold this seat. The last one was in 1993.

What does all this mean? It means that as of November 4, 2009, people are upset with the Democrat agenda in Washington. Why do I say that? It is because of the amount of time that Barack Obama spent on the Governor’s races in Virginia and New Jersey. He visited each one so many times that he is now eligible to vote in both states. (I am joking.) Both Governors’ races effectively became referendums on Barack Obama because of his extensive involvement. That both races ended up as losses for the White House does not look good for what they are doing to America. The White House will spin it as local issues causing the Democrats to lose both races. That is partially true as it is partially true in any race. But the fact remains, Obama spent a lot of time in each state campaigning for both of the losing Democrat candidates. That both lost in states he carried easily in 2008 is significant.

The House race in district 23 in New York is a horse of a different color. This district almost always has a Republican to represent it. Democrats are claiming that this is the first in 117 years. But the truth is that the last Democrat that represented the district was in 1993. What makes this different than the Governor’s races is the way the Republican Party handled the race. They held some meetings to decide on a candidate and chose one more liberal than the Democrat she was running against or those in Washington. The national Republican Party leaders lined up behind her as the Republican candidate, regardless of her positions on the issues. Sarah Palin and the more conservative Republicans said that they would not support the Republican. They would support the Conservative Party candidate. This caused a furor. Then, the financial support for the Republican candidate evaporated. She resigned from the race and endorsed the Democrat. The Conservative Party candidate was an unknown one month ago. The Democrat was well known one month ago. The Democrat was well funded throughout the campaign. The Conservative Party candidate only started to receive funding near the end of the campaign. To sum this all up, the Republicans shot themselves in the foot on this one. Had they put forward a viable candidate from the start, things would most likely have turned out differently.

These elections will have little impact on the number of Republicans or Democrats in the House or Senate. The Democrats still have enough votes to do just about anything they want to do. What these votes will do is cause those candidates in vulnerable districts or states to reconsider their positions on controversial issues. That could have major impacts on whether we are saddled with a loss of our freedom in the Obamacare package or the “Cap and Tax” plan. If the Democrat has any desire to serve one more term, he/she may decide that it is better not to support a dismantling of the best healthcare system in the world or a dismantling of the best economy in the world. Had these votes gone for the Democrats, we would have both of these bills passed and signed by Thanksgiving. Now we may not even get any discussion on these bills until after the New Year. That puts them in an election year where the issues will be even more volatile.

The Democrats are now in a box. Do they go on and pass the rest of their agenda right now or do they go slower on their agenda? To move quickly means they might get the bills passed, but at the cost of losing the House and Senate in 2010. If they go slow, they might not get the rest of their agenda passed at all. The answer to that question is how much of a dedicated Democrat are you? If you are a fanatic, you will push for everything now and worry about tomorrow when it comes. If you are more pragmatic, you will go slow and might be around to fight again, but without your agenda passed? The fight will begin today for the heart and soul of the Democrat Party. Who will win? Will it be the fanatics or the pragmatists? We shall know all in the next six months. Fasten your seatbelts folks; it is going to be a bumpy ride ahead.

One thing that bothers me is the constant redefinition of words by the left. Words have meanings and that should stay relatively constant throughout a 50-100 year period. When the left is involved, word meanings can change on a dime, if they perceive that their old meaning can help the left.

I was reading the book “The Forgotten Man” and in the 1940 Presidential race, Wendell Willkie was complaining that the word “liberal” had lost its meaning. The left had changed it to mean someone who supports big government. That had not been the previous meaning. So, Willkie tried to restore the meaning of the word liberal during the campaign. As we all know, he failed in that bid. Democrats were too strong to overturn their word changes, even in the 1940’s.

The word “Progressive” used to mean that the person was looking forward to making progress of some type. The left has confiscated the word and now “Progressive” means that you want to return to the big government that was around for thousands of years before anyone thought of a Republican form of government. That is not progressive, that is regressive.

A friend of mine got an email with a video on it. The video was for kids to show them about our form of government. We watched it to make sure that it was appropriate for our kids. It was appropriate for our kids, but I learned from it as well. The video put things into perspective that I had been gathering and pondering on for some time.

In the video, it said that there were 5 possible forms of government. The video then went through the 5 forms until it was left with only 2. The 5 were: Power vested in a single individual, power concentrated in a select few (Oligarchy), a democracy, a republic and anarchy. Anarchy is a temporary condition because everyone in a situation where anarchy is being practiced wants a government to step in and restore order. Power in a single individual is temporary as a group usually gets involved quickly making it an Oligarchy. A democracy is more permanent than either of the others. It has lasted for long periods when it has been tried, but it always ends up in violence and bloodshed leading to an Oligarchy. That leaves just two permanent types of government, the Oligarchy and the Republic.

We live in a Republic. The Founding Fathers set it up that way. They did not want a democracy because it always ends up in a disaster. They did not want a King as that always ends up in tyranny. They put us on the path of a Republic. Those who want to keep us on that path should be supported and promoted. Those who would change our system to something else should be thrown out of office on their ear.

Democrats never want people to know what they are really doing. That is why they always co-opt a word with a good meaning to describe their bad intentions. Abraham Lincoln is frequently quoted as saying that you can fool some of the people all of the time. And you can fool all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. That is the game the Democrats like to play. The Democrats are constantly trying to fool you into believing that they want a limited, smaller government with a strong military. So, they use language that would make people believe that their intentions are in that direction. Then, when they get into office, they go in exactly the opposite direction. They still use soothing words that say they are not doing what you see them doing.

Well, most of the people got fooled in the last election. Barack Obama told us what he was going to do. He just did it in such a way that people did not believe it. That way he fooled most of the people into voting for him. What did he do when he got into office? He did exactly the opposite of what he said he believed in during the election season. Some of them have realized that they made a mistake. Some are still enthralled with the soothing words coming from Mr. Obama’s mouth. They fail to see the actions that Mr. Obama has taken to destroy the greatest nation the world has ever seen.

We need someone who will tell us the truth, whether good or bad. I am reading a book about Ronald Reagan and how he caused the Soviet Union to disappear. One thing that friend and foe alike said about Ronald Reagan is that you can believe what he says. If he says he will do it, he will. If he said he will not do it, he won’t. Even my parents, who were die hard left wingers, always said that you can believe what Ronald Reagan said he will do. They did not like the things Mr. Reagan said he would do, so they voted against him. I thought that it was refreshing to have a politician that says what he means, so I voted for him. That is the type of politician that we need today. We do not need one that will try and pander to this group or that group. We need one that is true to his/her convictions no matter what group is in front of him/her. In my humble opinion, that would mean a return of a Ronald Reagan. That is someone I could support completely.

Last night, I listened to the Glenn Beck show on the internet. During one segment, he put the attack on Fox News by the White House in perspective. On his blackboard, Glenn showed all the ways that the Obama White House has tried to limit free speech. The result was a chilling thought of how far we have fallen since January.

On the Mike Gallagher show, I heard another assault on free speech by the White House that Glenn Beck did not cover last night. This is that the United States is now one of the countries supporting the proposal by the Muslim countries on a restriction on free speech because of blasphemy. If this ever gets through and adopted, we will not be able to criticize Muslim terrorists as Muslim terrorists. They would just be terrorists and the Muslim part would have to be left out. That means that the message would be incomplete and the public would be left in the dark as to the truth. But the biggest problem is that the Obama White House even agreed to a restriction on our free speech rights at all. The Constitution is quite clear about the ability of our citizens to free speech. Obama seems to ignore that when it suits him.

We have an attack on our freedoms from many locations. It is difficult to keep up with all the attacks. Sometimes I think that I would like to take a break and let others do the work for me. Then, I realize that it is part of my duty as an American citizen to be informed and to speak out about these issues. Speaking out may have a price some day, but it is a price I am willing to pay. Freedom is important to me and I will defend it to my last breath.

During the period from the late 1940’s to the 1960’s, Ronald Reagan fought for these same values against the communist incursions that were taking place. I am reading a book about how Ronald Reagan won the Cold War against the communists. In the beginning of the book, where I am, it documents these struggles. It also points out that Ronald Reagan felt that we were in a war against the communists that the general public was not aware of. It is much like the war against the Islamo-Fascist’s of today. We are in a war that many in the country deny that we are fighting. As a result, we are in danger of losing our country to the enemy by giving up the ground without a fight. Right now, Barack Obama is surrendering at every opportunity. I hope there is not enough time for him to give everything away before he either gets stopped or replaced.

Freedom of speech is crucial to the proper functioning of our Republican form of government. If there are limits on our freedom of speech or freedom of assembly, we have no chance to stop the enemies of this country from taking over.

Right now, the Congress is trying to take away our property rights as well. When our property rights are gone, the country is gone with it. If this Obamacare bill becomes law, then we have no more private property in this country. That is why the bill has to be stopped. The bill is also a terrible bill that will not solve the problem that it is supposed to solve. It will just destroy what is good and precious.

We are a good people. We try to be kind to those who have less than ourselves. We try to be fair and honest with those that are weaker than ourselves. That gets us in trouble from time to time by putting us on the defensive in the beginning of some problems. When we wake up and decide to fight, there is no power on earth that can stop us. We need to wake up to the menace that is the Obama administration. We need to stop this administration from causing further damage to this country. Then, if we still are allowed to vote in 2010, we should vote all the Democrats and liberals out of office. That would give us a chance to reclaim the ground we have given up to this point. I know that we can do it. We have succeeded against worse odds in the past. We can succeed today. All we have to have is the will to win and the attitude that we will not be stopped. I know we can do it.

In the last week, Barack Obama and his henchmen have declared war against Fox News. Over the weekend, David Axelrod said that Fox News was not a “real” news organization and that other “real” news organizations should not emulate their model. I was told long ago, before the internet, that you should not pick fights with someone who uses ink by the barrel. I think the same would be said for someone who broadcasts 24 hours a day.

The Obama administration is remarkably thin skinned. If they are criticized or questioned in any way, they lash out and try to destroy the person or organization responsible. Since Glenn Beck has been a tremendous thorn in the side of Obama for some time, they are lashing out at Fox News. Since they cannot kill the person producing the pain, they would rather destroy the company he works for. I guess they figure that if they make it hot enough for Fox News, they will fire Glenn Beck to satisfy the White House and get them to back off. I do not think that the White House would back off if Fox News would fire Glenn Beck. I think they would just get bolder and start attacking others as well. That means Fox News will have to fight this one to the end. During the dust-up, the one person that cannot be replaced is Glenn Beck. If he goes, the White House wins. If he stays and continues to ask his questions, the White House loses. Right now it is a game of chicken; we get to see who blinks.

The person that announced the beginning salvo in this war against Fox News was the person in charge of communications in the White House. She had said in a commencement speech to high school students that her two most admired people were: Mother Theresa and Chairman Mao Tse Tung. I have no problem with Mother Theresa and I doubt that anyone else in the world would have a problem with her in the list of most admired people. Including Mother Theresa on a list of most admired people would show the sophisticated taste needed to lead any agency or group. The other name, Mao Tse Tung, gives one a chance to stand back and question that person’s judgment. Mao was responsible for killing approximately 70 million Chinese under his rule. He killed more people than any other leader in the entire 20^th century. Having a mass murderer on your list of most admired people is definitely a character flaw on your part. Anyone with the character flaw to have Chairman Mao on their most admired list is definitely having some problems.

When questioned about the talk and her inclusion of Mao and Mother Theresa, she said that she was just telling a joke. I heard the tape of the commencement address on TV and radio. It did not sound like a joke to me. It sounded like she was serious. Glenn Beck had a parent that was at the commencement address. The parent said that the comment was definitely not a joke.

 We do not need a communications director in the White House that thinks that Chairman Mao Tse Tug is someone to be admired. Chairman Mao is someone that should be despised. Mao does not have anything to offer that would make Americana better people. In fact, he does not have anything to offer that would make anyone a better person. Anyone that would follow Mao’s teachings would be a worse person after employing the policies and procedures that Mao set down. Someone you admire should make you a better person, not a worse person.

If you asked me to list the top couple of people I admire, I would list, Joseph Smith and Ezra Taft Benson (if I could include prophets) or George Washington and Ronald Reagan (If I could only include political types). Any one of those four would make you a better person, if you tried to live your life like that person. I would like to think that a person following either pair would be substantially the same person. Following Mother Theresa and Chairman Mao would make you a definitely poorer person to be around. I am glad that I live in America and can still say things like that last comment. Obama’s people are making it increasingly more expensive to say things they disagree with. If Obama has his way, these kinds of comments will be outlawed in the future.

This morning, I was giving an older daughter a ride to an appointment. On the way, she asked me if I supported Obama. I told her that I didn’t support Obama. She asked me why I do not support Obama. I thought about that for a moment then summed it up with one word, socialism. I do not think that socialism is an American value. Since socialism is not an American value, it should be defeated wherever it is found.

My ancestor, Richard Warren, came over here on the Mayflower. When the Mayflower Pilgrims first started Plymouth colony, they owned everything in common. As a result of this common ownership, the colony almost died out. William Bradford quickly allowed private ownership and the colony thrived. They proved that common ownership may sound good on paper, in practice it does not work. Private ownership of property always does better than common ownership. Even the Soviet Union found this out. They had large collective farms that could hardly produce enough food to keep the farmers that worked the farms fed. After a while, they allowed the farm families to have private ownership of some small property. The privately owned property out produced the common ownership property by many times. The reason is that people will work harder for themselves than they will for someone else. The key is just that simple.

People may say that I do not support Barack Obama because he is black. I have a black son and a black daughter. How could I discriminate against Obama and then look my children in the eye? No, I do not support Barack Obama strictly on policy and philosophy. I have nothing against a black person holding the job of President. I wish it had happened sooner. I also wish that it had happened with a black person with a better outlook on life. I had said for years that we are nearly ready for a black President. I had also predicted that the black President would be Republican. My reasoning is that Democrats have some built in problems. The main one is that they are soft on defense. Barack Obama is a perfect example of a Democrat being soft on Defense. I also think that the first woman President and the first Hispanic President will be Republican for the same reason.

Obama’s healthcare plan is socialist in nature. Whether it is socialist, communist, fascist or whatnot, the point is that it tends to be socialist. Since it tends to be socialist, I oppose the plan on principle. Everything else Obama has proposed is socialist.

Barack Obama surrounds himself with communists and other radicals. His advisors do not read like what you would expect to see in America. Even if you subscribe to the theory that all America is liberal, not all liberals are communists and fascists. Most liberals are regular ordinary people that you can talk to. Obama has picked the worst from the worst to be his advisors. That to me shows at least extremely poor judgment. Most likely it shows that his views are extremely close to those of his advisors. He keeps telling us that they are not the same as his advisors, but I see no evidence except his word. His word does not mean much as he is constantly in a state of telling a lie. With Bill Clinton his lips had to be moving to be sure it was a lie. With Obama, just seeing him we know that he is telling us another lie.

No, I oppose Obama strictly on policy. I have nothing against his race. Since I am so strongly against his policies, some may take it that I have a hidden agenda against his race. I do not. I have many friends that are black. I work with blacks all the time. I have had many black supervisors that I thought did excellent jobs. To me, black is just a help in identifying the person like hair color or height.

When I logged onto the computer this morning at home, I was shocked to see that Barack Hussein Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize. I thought you had to DO something to earn that reward. I could not think of one thing that Barack Obama had done since becoming President that would justify giving him the Nobel Peace Prize. The only thing that popped into my mind is that they like to give the award to people who bad mouth the United States. Barack Obama sure has done a lot of that since taking office. Maybe that is why they gave him the award. He surely has not done anything to really earn it.

Other Presidents, including the worst of the 20^th century Presidents, Jimmy Carter, have tried to get the award. Many of them had actual accomplishments that would easily justify giving them the Nobel Peace Prize, but they were denied. All of them had the audacity to talk about the United States in glowing terms. The Nobel Peace Prize Committee will not allow any American to get the award that does not talk about the United States like it is some demented prison camp. At least that is how it has been lately. Presidents T. Roosevelt and Wilson won the award as a sitting President. Jimmy Carter won the award after leaving office.

Other Nobel prizes are awarded for actual accomplishments, like the awards for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and so on. The Peace prize is different because there usually isn’t much competition for the award. Usually nobody deserves the award in any given year. But, they need to give the award every year to continue to build up the prestige of the award. So, they usually give the award to unknown leaders of some protest group under some totalitarian government. The person usually cannot come and receive the award because the government has them under house arrest. That way everyone feels good and nobody gets offended.

In his reaction to the news, even Barack Obama did not think he had done enough to win the award. The media is tending to agree with him. They are asking what has he done to deserve the award. The Nobel committee cited all the things that Obama said he would do as their reason. If you have to rely on what Obama says he will do to justify this award, they will be real surprised when none of it happens. Bill Clinton was a pathological liar. He would tell a lie even when he did not have to tell a lie. But, Bill Clinton did tell the truth most of the time. Obama just makes things up as he goes. If it sounds good, he puts it in the speech. That way, almost nothing Obama said can be taken at face value for the truth. Everything has to be checked and rechecked to make sure it is true. Even then, you are not sure if you have the whole unvarnished truth. The Nobel committee is pinning their hopes on a guy who almost never tells the truth, to tell the truth. That is a long shot if I ever heard one.

Since I am so negative on Obama getting the award, I suppose some of you are thinking who I think should have won the award. To tell the truth, I have not followed the political situation around the world well enough to give an honest answer to that question. I am sure that there are at least a half dozen people in the world that did more for peace in the last year than Barack Obama. They did not get the award because the Nobel Peace Prize committee wanted to send a message to the United States. That is that if you want the award, you have to act like the United States is a third world country, not the leader of the world. Then, you might get an award just like Barack Obama. Of course, if another President does that there probably will not be a United States to be President of. We might survive one super-weak President, but we could not survive two. I have my doubts about surviving one, if we re-elect the one.

Barack Obama is sure practicing a curious foreign policy. The standard foreign policy for every country in the world throughout history is to keep your friends close and watch your enemies. Obama is keeping our enemies close and watching our friends closely and with skepticism. This is no way to run a country. If Obama wanted to project American weakness to the world, he has done a masterful job. It only took him 9 months to undo what his predecessors took 233 years building up. In the process, Obama is aligning himself with all the wrong people. If he was my son, I would counsel him to stop hanging around with gutter trash and start hanging around with the good guys.

On the Dennis Prager show, I heard that Obama is shutting down a service that documents all torture and civil rights abuses in Iran. The company that provides this service requested only $2.7 million to do the job for the year. Considering the massive amounts of money that Obama is spending like water, that is an extremely modest amount. The company is being shut down because Obama wants to meet with the Mullah’s of Iran and does not want anything to get in the way of those talks. This is very short sighted thinking.

Obama also has refused to meet with the Dali Lama. He is the nominal head of Tibet. Freeing Tibet is a favorite cause of Obama’s Hollywood crowd, yet he will not meet with the Dali Lama. Why? It is because he wants to meet with China and he does not want to make the Chinese leaders mad. Every President in my memory going back to President Eisenhower has met with the Dali Lama. Not meeting with the Dali Lama is a sign of weakness. The Chinese will make careful note that America is now weak. They will act accordingly in Asia and throughout the world.

In Honduras, their President Zelaya decided that he wanted to emulate Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. So, the Honduran Supreme Court ruled that President Zelaya had committed unconstitutional acts and should be deported. A new President was selected to fill out President Zelaya’s term of office. Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro objected to this action by Honduras, calling it a coup. Barack Obama stepped in as the leader of the “Free World” and sided with the communist dictators and against the Honduran people who were following their Constitution. Barack Obama called the Honduran action a “coup”. Zelaya is now in the Brazilian embassy waiting for the communist dictators to give him time to become a communist dictator like them. Obama continues to support the communist dictators by shutting off all support to Honduras. Honduras is a poor country in the first place. Shutting out needed supplies will make things that much worse.

How did the country that is the leader of the “Free World” become a lap dog for communist dictators? Why aren’t we preaching freedom and democracy to the rest of the world? Why is America suddenly so weak that even Venezuela thinks that they can thumb their nose at us? It was only 10 months ago, under George W. Bush, that we were the strongest country in the world. It was only 10 months ago that we were the leader of the “Free World” and spoke out for freedom and democracy.

Now, even our dollar is under attack. The dollar is crashing on world markets. There is talk about replacing the dollar as the currency used to buy and sell oil. If that happens, the dollar will start a freefall and we will be in severe trouble. Hyperinflation would be a real possibility if the dollar becomes disconnected from oil. Last year nobody even gave it a thought to disconnect the dollar from oil. Now, it is a possibility and could happen very soon. I do not want it to happen, not even to a Democrat President. Disconnecting the dollar from oil has implications to the country far from just making buying and selling oil difficult. It means there would be a real glut of American dollars on the market. When you have too many dollars chasing too few goods, you have hyperinflation. Hyperinflation destroys the value of everyone’s savings and investments. It destroys the value of any contracts. It destroys confidence in the System of government. Governments fall because of hyperinflation. We have the best government ever devised by man in this country. We need to keep it at all costs. We cannot let the government be changed just because some people misused it to cause hyperinflation. Let that be a lesson to us for all time that elections have consequences.

We are living in pivotal times. We need to keep our eyes open to the fast moving events that are shaping the world around us. We also need to hold fast to the things that are true. By being vigilant and holding true to our values, we can withstand the whirlwind that is attacking us. Jesus talked about the House built on the rock and the house built on the sand. Let us make sure that we have the house built on the rock so that we can withstand the floods of history.

Barack Obama had a photo op with about 150 doctors that he had invited to the White House. These doctors support socialized medicine. Since only about 8% of doctors support socialized medicine, this group makes up most of them. At the photo op, Barack Obama thought that the doctors did not look like doctors. They did not have on their white coats. So, he passed out white lab coats for each one to wear. That way everyone would know that these are doctors, not just someone in a suit or dress.

If George W. Bush had pulled a stunt like that, the press would have hammered him for days. So far, the press has said nothing about the incident. In fact, they treated the photo op like it was an important state function. They took the photos that they were supposed to take, and no more. They asked the questions they were supposed to ask. They did not ask a single tough question to anyone at the press conference.

The Democrats are trying to sell the American people something that they do not want. The Democrats are using slick advertising with wonderful pictures. They have celebrities cooperating with the push for socialized medicine. Still, the majority of the American people are not buying the idea. The number of Americans buying the idea drops each time they take a poll. Usually slick advertising can overcome a weak message. This proves that slick advertising cannot overcome a bad message.

Part of the reason for the failure of the slick media blitz to connect is the alternate media that is available today. People can tweet and use Facebook for immediate connections. The internet and You Tube allow people to pass information around for a more in depth study. All of this alternate media use has been entirely without the direction of any political party. The Republicans are the beneficiaries of the outcomes, but they were not the instigators. This amateur production has achieved a critical mass without any visual leadership of any single individual or party. The groundswell has been genuine and heartfelt.

As Bear in the Woods put it on Hugh Hewitt.com today, if you look at the flags that people are flying you get an idea where they stand. The most popular flag is the American flag. The second most popular flag is the “Don’t Tread on Me” flag with the snake. This flag is also known as the Gadsden flag. That shows that the sentiment among many, if not most, of the Tea Party goers is that they want a reduction in government. A smart politician could pick up on that bit of information and use it to design a campaign. If the campaign promised a reduction in the size and scope of government, it would resonate with a large number of people. That just might be enough to get that person elected President. Of course, that could not be the only item on the platform, but it is an excellent start.

We are at a crossroads in history. We can either take the path that Barack Obama is showing us or take the path that the Tea Partiers are showing us. One leads to bondage and oppression. The other leads back to freedom and prosperity. One promises security. The other promises a chance to succeed. One promises that you can remain a child for the rest of your life. The other makes you grow up and be an adult to face the world as a free individual.

I choose freedom for my choice. The Founding Fathers chose freedom for this country. We cannot allow people to come here and throw away the American dream for the false promise of security. It has been said that those that give up their freedom for security find themselves neither free nor secure. I hope the rest of America chooses Freedom at this crossroads in time.

On the way to work, I listened to Mike Segal on KFYI. He was talking about the fact that 384 Border Control Agents have been removed from the Southern border with Mexico and sent to the Northern border with Canada. There is also a report that indicates that there are 1300 miles of our Southern border that are not secured at this time.

If we have that many miles of unsecured borders on the south we do not need to remove agents. The biggest problem with illegal immigration is on our Southern border. It does occur along our Northern border, but in far smaller quantities. Since the biggest problem is in the south, it would be logical to have the staff in the south get more people than the north. There probably are still more border control agents on the southern border than the north, but that is not the point. Weakening our ability to stop people from coming across our southern border should be the first priority of the Border Control and the Department of Homeland Security. Since Barack Obama and Janet Napolitano are removing agents from our southern border, they obviously do not think that it is a high priority problem.

Whenever it comes time to identify whether someone is legal or not, Democrats always do not want their legality checked. In voting situations, Republicans continually call for voters to show identification before they vote. Democrats always put out some lame excuse that the Republicans anticipated and solved. In any case, photo id at voting is not done. Why is it not done? Who would benefit if an illegal alien voted? If you are in the least amount honest, you would have to say that the Democrat would be the one to get the vote of an illegal alien. In the Obamacare bill, the Republicans put forward a bill that would require identification before receiving Obamacare. The Democrats defeated that measure. Why? Because they intend for the illegal aliens to get Obamacare, either by making them citizens or just allowing it without checking.

The Department of Homeland Security put out a memo that basically said that illegal aliens should not be arrested until they commit a crime. I may be mistaken, but isn’t crossing the border illegally a crime? As a result, cities like Phoenix are seeing an increase in crime. The crime they are seeing is the type that is common down in Mexico. That is kidnappings. On KFYI, Mike Segal went through a couple of cases in the past week here in the Phoenix area. One of the cases involved a pregnant woman. She is still in the hospital. The arrests happened on Thursday. One of the kidnappings Mike Segal outlined was at 9:30 n the morning, in a parking lot. That is pretty brazen, to commit a crime like that in broad daylight.

The Obama administration seems to be telling us along the Southern border of the United States that the border is unimportant. If people can cross without permission, what is the purpose of the border? In order to keep our country, we have to maintain our borders. This administration is not maintaining our borders. This administration is weakening our borders to allow more illegal aliens to come into this country. It must feel terrible to be a Border Control Agent right now. You would know that the Federal Government does not support what you do. My guess is that there will be a number of Border Control Agents that will bail on the department and work for Sheriff’s Offices, Police Departments and Highway Patrols in the states they are working in right now. That would mean a loss of highly trained and experienced personnel. That is never a good thing.

This morning, I was gratified to see that Barack Obama met with General McChrystal for 25 minutes in Copenhagen. Since Obama has stated that the Afghanistan Theater of the war is the most important part, you would think that he would give it a little bit of his time. I can understand that he ignores Iraq and the rest of the war against Islamo-Fascism. He has said that those actions are not important. But, Afghanistan is supposed to be important. When things are important, you give them some of your time.

I think that Barack Obama is not giving time to Afghanistan because he is caught between a rock and a hard place. The radical left is after him to get this Obamacare bill passed. He needs their votes to get it done. The radical left does not believe that we belong in Afghanistan or any place outside of the US, unless it is not in our interest to be there. So, if Obama gives Afghanistan the time it deserves he will tick off the radical left and make it more difficult to pass his Obamacare bill. If he ignores Afghanistan, he might get his Obamacare bill passed, but more of our brave soldiers will die unnecessarily. As a result, he does not really know how to act. He is tending toward not doing anything, which is his default position.

Barack Obama desperately wants this Obamacare bill to pass so he can have a lasting legacy. Obama thinks that people will look to him as some sort of savior for getting the Obamacare bill passed. He does not understand that people will hate Obamacare.

Right now, Barack Obama is in Copenhagen to try and get the Olympics for Chicago. If he manages to pull that off, he will be paying back the people that put him in office. Those people stand to make millions upon millions out of this deal. They all own slum property right where the different Olympic sites will be built and where the Olympic village will be built. That will mean millions in graft money for each of those involved. It will also mean millions in contracts for the different Chicago unions. The regular people of Chicago will not benefit very much from the Olympics, except for the couple of weeks that the events are held. It is the corrupt Chicago government that will benefit. That is all documented very well by Michelle Malkin. When I saw her documentation, I was blown away by the potential corruption that is there if the Olympics are in Chicago.

Barack Obama has brought Chicago style politics to Washington. Chicago style politics is the dirtiest sort of politics. Right does not matter. Only who you know matters. Corruption is rampant among most of the people that surround the White House. Glenn Beck is having a field day documenting all the corruption in and around the White House. He also asks the question that needs to be answered, “How could this person get access to the President?” When we find the answer to that question, we will unlock the door to the secrets in the White House. Of course, in Chicago style politics, if you find out the answer to that question you may not see the dawn.

Electing Barack Obama to the White House was a historic event. Unfortunately for those who voted for him, it was not the historic event they wanted. They were hoping that electing Barack Obama would lead to an end of racial politics. Instead it leads to an increase in racial politics and a dramatic increase in corruption. I am not saying that there was no corruption under George Bush. I am just saying that the corruption is so rampant under Barack Obama that it is impossible to hide for any length of time.

On the way to work I heard that our President has decided to be the chief lobbyist for Chicago’s bid for the Olympic Games in 2016. He is leaving Washington with a ton of unfinished business that requires his immediate attention. On 60 minutes yesterday, General McChrystal said that he had only talked to the President once in the approximately 70 days he had been the commander of our troops in Afghanistan. Iran shot off some short range missiles over the weekend. They are planning on shooting a long range missile next Monday. There are plenty of critically important issues for Barack Hussein Obama to occupy his time with in Washington. You would think that obtaining the Olympic Games would be a low priority item at best.

Why is Barack Obama hot to get the Olympic Games for Chicago? One reason is that Mayor Daley is in political trouble. Without the oomph of a big splash, he just might lose his next election. Chicago has become a dysfunctional town. He might lose the election even with the Olympics. Without the Olympics, he is most likely the former Mayor Daley. Barack Obama is a good friend of Mayor Daley. He wants to keep his friends in office.

Why isn’t Barack Obama meeting with General McChrystal? Barack Obama selected General McChrystal for this position back in March. At the time, Obama said that General McChrystal would carry out his strategy for Afghanistan. Now, General McChrystal is calling for more troops to be committed to Afghanistan in an effort to win the war. According to General McChrystal, with the troops we can win the war. Without the troops, we cannot win the war. Barack Obama is undecided on what he wants to do. He would like to vote present, like he does on almost everything else. He has to make a decision. The angry left is telling him to withdraw from Afghanistan. The military is telling him that the war is winnable, if we follow this plan of General McChrystal. He is torn between wanting to please the left which put him in office and the military which could give him a military victory he would desperately love to have. A military victory would go a long way to secure a second term in office for Mr. Obama. What is he to do? His answer is to jet off to Copenhagen, Denmark to talk about the Olympics. That is the same as voting present.

Mr. Obama’s healthcare proposal is being destroyed right before his eyes. The people lining up against it grows longer every day. The number of people supporting it shrinks. According to the polls, far more people strongly oppose Obamacare than strongly approve of Obamacare. Democrats in Congress are looking at 2010 and seeing a disaster in the making. They know if they vote for the Obamacare bill, they will be on the street looking for a job. Obama is pressuring them to vote for the bill with a heavy lobbying effort. The Democrats are caught between a rock and a hard place. Their most likely scenario is to just not bring it up for a vote until after the 2010 election. That would infuriate the White House, but might get them re-elected. If they got re-elected they could pass the bill and we would all lose.

The Tax and Tax bill is the next one in the hopper. That bill is supposed to save the planet from a non-existent problem. If they pass the bill, the problem will not occur. The people that passed the bill could claim credit for curing the non-existent problem. The real reason for the Tax and Tax bill is to raise taxes on everybody. The Democrats believe that all the money in the country belongs to the government and you only get your share through the largess of the federal government. So, when they pass a tax bill, they are really just recouping some of the government’s money. At least that is how the Democrats think. Maybe not directly, but indirectly through their actions that is the policies they stake out.

Obama has no reason to leave Washington at this time. There are too many highly important issues on the table that require his immediate attention. While I love to watch the Olympic Games and love to cheer on the athletes, the security of the United States and our allies is more important. If the problem was solved with Iran and he had met with General McChrystal to iron out any problems, then I would say go ahead. But he has not done any of these things. He has not made any effort to do any of these things. He has done everything in his power to avoid the highly important issues. He is not leading us. He is trying to follow some unknown leader that has abandoned him at this time. Obama needs someone to tell him exactly what to do to get him out of the mess he is in. There are a lot of us conservatives who would gladly take on that job. It would be a monumental task, but one I would gladly do.

Barack Obama has a huge thorn in his side. That thorn is Glenn Beck. Robert Ringer writes about this at World Net Daily. Robert Ringer believes that Glenn Beck has the power to take down Barack Obama by the 2012 elections. That remains to be seen.

We do know that Barack Obama and his minions have thin skins. You cannot criticize them at all without getting threatening calls, emails or other communications. Right now, the Obama team has their noses out of joint about Fox News. During the media blitz over the last weekend, they “punished” Fox News by not giving them access to Barack Obama. Big whoop, their programs made money while the other stations lost money carrying the President.

At some time, Barack Obama and his team will have to address the problem that is Glenn Beck. During the election they got into a tit for tat with the Republican Vice-Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin. That went on until the Obama team convinced Barack that it was beneath him to trade barbs with the Vice-Presidential candidate. As I remember it, she was cleaning his clock when he cut it off.  Glenn Beck is not a problem that Obama will be able to ignore. Glenn has a radio show where he talks for 15 hours a week and he has a TV show where he talks for an additional 5 hours. The tactics employed by the White House to date have driven many people to wonder who this Glenn Beck guy is, anyway. As a result, his numbers are climbing through the roof. His TV show is the number one TV news show on cable TV. The top 10 are essentially all at Fox News.

Robert Ringer said that Obama would most likely give in and give an interview to Fox News. He then speculated on who would get the interview. He figures that O’Reilly is the most likely candidate to snag the interview. That is a possibility, but Glenn Beck is still there. Glenn Beck will still have to be dealt with. Obama will have to go into the Lion’s Den at some point and talk to Glenn Beck. The problem is that Glenn Beck is not like all the other TV and Radio hosts. All the others are comfortable with their lifestyle and would not be likely to give it all up if the chips were on the line. Beck has stated that he would not be afraid of being poor again. He has been poor before and would be willing to be poor again, if it got the truth to the American people.

Glenn Beck is a personification of the Refounders that he is talking about. The original Founding Fathers pledged everything, including their own lives to secure the freedoms this country had. Glenn has taken those ideals to heart and would be willing to make a similar sacrifice if it meant the rebirth of the United States. That means he would be difficult to defeat. Anyone who has the integrity and honor to have that stand is unlikely to be moved by half truths. If Obama meets Beck, Obama will have to give the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Beck will cut through the BS that is Obama’s stock in trade. Since Obama does not want the whole truth to get out, he cannot afford to meet Beck on the current terms. Obama’s only hope in the contest with Glenn Beck would be to wait for a favorable time. In my opinion, that favorable time period Obama needed to have passed a few months ago.

I am a relative newcomer to Glenn Beck. I work when his TV show and radio show are on. I was introduced to the Glenn Beck show by a friend. I access Glenn Beck on the Fox News website. I do not get all of his show, but I do get most of it. I wish I could get more, but am glad for what I do get. I rarely get to hear the radio show. I rarely am off during his radio show. It also comes on an FM station. I only listen to FM on the third Thursday of each week. I find Glenn Beck to be funny and right to the point. If Obama ever met with Glenn Beck, Obama would be rolled in the first five minutes. Glenn can pull jokes out of thin air and at the drop of a hat. Obama has to have jokes pulled from him with pliers. Obama also has to have carefully laid plans for the jokes. In a situation like that, there is no way Obama could even be expected to hold do well against Beck. Reagan could give as much as he got. Clinton might be able to pull off one of his empathy sessions. The two Bush Presidents would not do well against Beck. The reason is that Beck is fast on his feet and the two Bush Presidents are slow. Either Bush would do much better than Obama because either Bush is much more nimble.

  Obama will have to take care of Beck to still be President on January 21, 2013. I do not see it happening under the circumstances as they exist today. In politics, a day is a long time and a month is an eternity. Circumstances could change between now and Election Day 2012. The longer Obama waits for Election Day 2012, the higher the stakes for him. Beck’s stakes remain the same regardless of the time frame involved.
