The Obama administration just released a memo that flies in the face of all recent scientific evidence. They announced that global warming is even worse than we have imagined. That this report came from the Obama administration is not surprising. Almost all members of the administration have a bias in favor of global warming. The report was put together by 30 members of the administration. There are no reports on whether there is one scientific degree among the 30 people involved in the report. If not, that would be typical of reports supporting global warming for the past four or five years. Scientists have jumped from the global warming ship in huge numbers. About all that are left are journalists, politicians, communists and non-scientists.

The timing of this report was particularly funny. The Northern Great Plains has been setting records for cold for the past three months. Even Chicago has reported the lowest June temperatures that have ever been recorded. England reported the first snowfall in June in over 100 years or since the end of the little ice age. With all the north countries setting records for cold, you have little chance of people agreeing with the premise that the earth is warming at an alarming rate. There has been no evidence that the earth as warmed at all since 1998. My oldest granddaughter is 10 ½. She has never experienced a year where the temperature has been more than the year before. That is starting to be some sort of a trend.

The reason the global warming people want you to believe that the earth is warming is so they can impose regulations to “solve” the crisis. If there is no crisis, you will not allow these rules to be imposed. So, they have to get you to believe that the crisis is imminent and that your action now will solve the problem. The fact that the evidence shows that there is no warming is just an “inconvenient fact”.

The “Cap and Trade” Bill is supposed to come to a vote next week. This bill will increase the average energy bill of every family in America by about $1500. The actual amount will vary by region, but that is supposed to be the average. Since the government never makes any accurate predictions, you can bet that the average will exceed $1500 by a large margin. It will drive up the cost of everything, not just energy. If you like the current recession that we are experiencing, you will really enjoy the big depression that this bill will cause.

The economy is still in the midst of a recession. People are out of work in large numbers. Tax revenues are down. Homes are not selling well because people cannot afford them. Interest rates on home loans are low to encourage home ownership, but homes still are not selling. This is not the time to impose additional taxes. In my estimation, there is never a good time to add taxes. This is an especially bad time to add taxes as the economy has no cushion at all.

The Democrats that support the “Cap and Trade” bill have a plan on what they want to get done. They know that the time to get things done is closing. People are starting to grumble and when that starts, their window of opportunity is shutting. Democrats from vulnerable districts are starting to take notice that these socialist programs are not selling well in their districts. They know that more socialist programs will doom them to defeat in 2010. There may be enough support for the Cap and Trade bill in Democrat circles to pass the bill, but that support will erode with time. The Democrats know they have to pass it now or never see it passed. In fact, it may already be too late. It failed in one try earlier. This is one they are trying to slip through the back door. All Republicans have to do is just highlight the huge tax increase for no reasonable purpose and the idea will die for lack of support. At least, that is what I hope happens.

Have we sent a President to represent us at the G-20 meeting or have we sent a wimp? So far, we have sent a wimp who seems over his head.

How is he over his head, he seems to get along with the other leaders? His advance team made a hash of the information the group received about the different countries that would be in attendance. They said England was slightly smaller than Oregon or that France was smaller than Texas. Those are not things that endear you to foreign leaders when they inevitably leak out to the press. The other way he has shown that he is in over his head is that he again assumed that the British are poor cousins. He gave Queen Elizabeth II an I-Phone. Now, an I-Phone is a wonderful piece of equipment and American ingenuity. The problem is that she already had an I-Phone and any second rate investigation would have turned that up. He made a similar mistake when Gordon Brown visited a few weeks ago. He gave Gordon Brown some DVD’s. That again sounds good, until you know that the DVD’s only work in the US, not in England. Either Barack Obama is incompetent or he does not care. There is a third option in that his staff is incompetent, but he allowed the similar mistake to be made. That would mean that he does not care or is incompetent when it comes to international relations.

How has he been representing us? Everyone is smiles and shaking hands, things must be going well, no? Well, our fearless leader has been saying that we are not the leader of the world. We will go along with whatever the Europeans come up with as a solution. That is not the kind of talk I want to hear from my President when he represents me to the world. I want a President that says that this is the way we do things in the US. You can get along with that or you can take a hike. That is a President that foreign leaders respect. This wimpy we will go along with what you decide only gains disrespect. If the other leaders figure out that the United States of America is no longer the leader of the free world, they will try and become that leader. None of them have the ability to become the leader. None of them are prepared to handle the responsibilities that the leader of the free world has. Unfortunately, our fearless leader has decided that the United States is not the leader of the free world. That will sit just fine in Russia and China. It will also give them the idea that the time is now to start taking over countries that surround them. The United States will not oppose them as we are too weak. That sounds like the start of a world war. That is one war we are not prepared to fight.

I do not know the outcome of the talks in England. I do know that the showing by the supposed leader of the free world is lacking. I do know that if I was the leader of France or Germany, I would be lobbying for the leadership job real quick. Both of them think they should be the leader of the free world. Neither of them have the economy or the army to fully embrace that role. They would be paper leaders at best.

The protesters are having a great time protesting. They really do not know what they are protesting. If they had any knowledge of what was going on, they would be cheering. The great leader of the free world has come to Europe with his hat in his hand and asked what to do. That is exactly what the protesters are protesting about. They say that capitalism is dead. Barack Obama is showing the world that capitalism is dead in America. The protesters say that we should do lots of other things that we opposed in the past, all of which Barack Obama is showing the world that we are doing. We are not the STRONG United States of America. We are the weak United States of America that wants to be like Europe. That is no way to act on the world stage. We are also led by a buffoon.

It was a sorry day when Barack Obama had to start working on foreign policy. He shows that he knows nothing every time that he tries it. The problem is that he does not learn from his mistakes. The “yes” men that he surrounds himself with insulate him from the ability to recognize that he is making a fool out of himself and the entire country. It will be a great day when Barack Obama no longer handles foreign policy. Of course, Hillary Clinton is no better. We need a whole new crop of people in the leadership positions before the United States takes its rightful place at the head of the world table.
