British Inaction

The British government has been transfixed by this dilemma. They have had 15 sailors captured by Iran. These sailors are being put on television "admitting" to all sorts of things. The "admissions" are obviously under duress. But the fact remains that Britain has done nothing substantial since this episode has begun. There was a time when doing something like this to Britain would have not occurred to any foreign government. The British Bulldog has been reduced to the British Poodle.

England has to do something to get its reputation back. The action has to be daring and bold. But, most of all, it has to be successful. They can do it with US help. That is OK. They have to take the lead and show that they are not a paper tiger.

I would hope that the British government is planning something under the radar. There is a news story out of Russia that the US will be ready on April 6. That would be a particularly interesting day to attack  a Muslim country, on the birth date of Jesus Christ. But the attack has to be made. My thoughts are taken from Newt Gingrich that we should take out the gasoline ability. Take Kharg Island and eliminate the gasoline refinery. That would put the Iranians back into the 10th century where their politics are located. The news report out of Russia said that we would take out the nuclear facilities. Whatever it is, we need to do it soon.

We need to let Iran that this will not be allowed to stand. They obviously took the British sailors thinking that nothing will happen to them. We have to prove them wrong. By we, I mean England and America. England is our number one ally. We have to support them in any way that we can. We cannot count on any other nations to help us in this situation. We should not rely on any other nations for security reasons. The fewer people that know what is going on, the better.

This targeted attack will probably mean that there will be war with Iran. That is something that Iran wants. They have been trying to get us to attack them for some time. This is their best ploy yet. It will probably work. Then they can claim that we attacked them without provocation. That, of course, would be a lie. But, Iran does not deal with the truth. They only deal with lies. I do not want a war with Iran, but if we have one, we should play to win.

British Sailors, Continued

It is interesting that the British government has been forthcoming with data on the position of the ships in question during the entire episode. The Iranian government initially agreed with the British information. When they discovered that the ship was in Iraqi waters with the British data, they changed their data to move the ship into Iranian waters. Which side is telling the truth?

It is interesting that the female British sailor is now espousing positions that are remarkably like those of the Iranian government. Why did she not give any of those positions prior to being captured? Did being captured free her from her forced silence?

The male British sailor gave a statement in line with the Iranian government position. It is interesting that he also did not say anything like that prior to being captured.

Which side is telling the truth in this drama? The answer is obvious. The British are telling the truth.  The Iranians are telling lies. The Iranians are forcing the British sailors to make statements in letters that support their position. The sailors are not freely making those statements. They are making the statements under threat of some kind of torture.

Where is the left in all of this? They are for human rights. They say they are against torture. The female sailor is obviously being tortured. She is being forced to wear clothes that she did not choose to wear. She is making statements that she did not want to make. Why are the liberals not crying out for the release of the British sailors? Is it because they are not Americans? I doubt that is the answer. That would really make them cold and crass. No, I think it is because the Americans are not doing the things that are wrong. Iranians cannot do anything wrong. Only Americans can be guilty of torture in the eyes of a liberal.

The British are our allies. They deserve our full support. We should give them anything they want and need to free those sailors. We should also tell them not to negotiate with the Iranian government. If they negotiate, they will be asked to do something wrong. The British need to stand firm and demand the release of their sailors, unconditionally. If the Iranians refuse to release the sailors, the British and their allies need to be prepared to get them out with force.

The force necessary to embarrass the Iranians is the idea put forth by Newt Gingrich. Bomb the gasoline refinery in Iran. Then keep all gasoline from coming into Iran from anywhere. Within a month, all of Iran will be walking or riding on animals. That would be fun to see. The Iranians would be embarrassed and probably not recover their dignity.

English Sailors

Last week, Iran captured 15 English sailors and marines in Iraqi waters. They have been held prisoner since then. One of the prisoners is female. She has been forced to wear muslim garments to conform to the Iranian idea of what a female should wear. They even forced her to write a letter saying that they had been in Iranian waters. The Iranians say they will release her soon, but there has been no progress.

The English are upset. As they should be. Unfortunately, they are severely downplaying the incident. They should do as Newt Gingrich said, take out the one Iranian gasoline processing plant and blockade Iranian ports and not allow any gasoline into Iran. This would make Iran walk everywhere within a month. The English have done nothing but talk up to this point.

I have an affinity for the English. I spent two years in England between 1970 and 1972. I came to love the English and their peculiar ways. I came to enjoy English football (soccer) and English humor. I never got used to the English spelling of words. I also fell in love with fish and chips with malt vinegar. I order it frequently when in restaurants. My wife does not like the smell of malt vinegar, but she knows I like it and it is harmless.

The English used to rule the waves. I read an article now that it was feared that when Tony Blair left office the British Navy would not be able to defend England. The article further stated that the British Navy could not even protect British sailors. This has to be a real come down for England. They have let their military decay over the years. They are a shadow of their former glory. If England were attacked today, she would have a difficult time defending herself until America could come to her aid. That is not unusual for a European nation. It is just a shame that it had to happen to England. England has been a super power or at least a major power player since the 1500's.

Nobody expects England to have an Army or Navy to rival the United States. But, they could have something a little more substantial so it could protect itself when attacked. They were made to look the fool. They are acting like a weak sister, talking instead of acting. They need to act to let people who would capture her military that they will pay a price. Talking is no way to treat a bully. A bully laughs when you try to talk to them.

We are building up our military in the region. Maybe we could lend a hand in getting back some of the English reputation. They are our strongest supporters. We need to stand with them in this situation. We should have our military on hand to support them in whatever decision Tony Blair and the English government decides to do. I hope the hostages are home safe soon.

Iran has said that if England says it was in Iranian waters they can have their sailors and marines back. The GPS system clearly shows that they were 1.7 miles within Iraqi waters when they were captured. The English should not say they were in the wrong. That would set a bad precedent. The Iranians were wrong and should be made to pay a heavy price for their act of war.

Global Warming

Global warming has met its match. The video from England is now out and can be seen by all. It is on you-tube. The name is "The  Great Global Warming Swindle". It was produced by some of the world's leading scientists on climate. In the video, they use actual facts and figures to support the idea that man caused global warming is a myth.

I watched a few pieces of it last night at work. The parts I watched were well done. They poked fun at Al Gore and his movie, "An Inconvenient Truth". They would play a portion of Al Gore's movie, then they would blow holes in his statements with facts and figures. It was very powerful and well done.

Unfortunately, the movie will not be seen by nearly as many people as saw the poorly scienced, "An Inconvenient Truth". That is a shame, Because, if more people saw the movie, they would understand that people who are supporting global warming are just trying to run your life for you. They are trying to lower your standard of living, while leaving theirs alone.

I discovered a quote at Newsmax.com. The quote is in the Phil Brennan column. The quote actually comes from Melanie Phillips (melaniephillips.com).

50% won't vote for Mrs. Clinton

On the Drudge Report today, there was an article that a poll states that 50% of the people polled would not vote for Mrs. Clinton for President. That is a good percentage to start with. If all of them voted, she would have a very difficult time being elected President.

The disturbing part is that 36% said they would vote for her. That means 36% of the people would vote for someone that supports communist ideals. I am not saying that Mrs. Clinton is a communist. I am only saying that what she says would be right at home coming from the Socialist Workers (Communist) Party. She does not claim to be a communist and I am not claiming that she is one. She may disagree with the communists on one or two issues. But, overall her ideas would fit the communist party well.

In the poll, 14% said that they were undecided on whether they would vote for Mrs. Clinton. I would hope that the 14% just do not know how close to the communist party line her positions take her. I would hope that when presented with a clear alternative that talked about American ideals, they would vote for that person. If she only received between 36 and 40% of the vote, she could not win any election. She may carry one or two states, but no more with those numbers.

Barak Obama is not much better than Mrs. Clinton. He is trying to run to the left of Mrs. Clinton. That would mean that he is trying to run to the left of the hard left communist positions she takes on each position. If he is truly running to Mrs. Clinton's left, then he is probably also taking many communist party positions.

The Democrat party is truly in trouble with those two in the lead for the Democrat nomination for President. The Republicans are not in much better shape. We have Rudy Giuliani in the lead for our nomination. I have a funny feeling that there is a lot of dirt on Rudy that we do not know. We would learn it all during the Presidential election. Without a giant warchest, Rudy would not be able to answer many of the accusations. They would not have to be true. George Allen of Virginia was defeated after the Democrat party and the news media trumpeted that he was breaking the law. After the investigation was over, he was cleared. Oops, sorry! But as a result, he lost his Senate seat. Much the same would be shot at Rudy Giuliani in a Presidential election.

That is one reason I support Mitt Romney for President. He does not have any skeletons in his closet. The Democrat party would have to debate the issues. He knows the issues much better than any Democrat. They would be sent home with their tail between their legs. The worst they have on Mitt Romney is that he is a "Mormon". That is so terrible, the "Mormons" have a reputation of being great people to do business with. That is easily overcome.

The Miracle of Life

The birth of a child never ceases to amaze me. Yesterday morning, my wife and daughter went to the hospital so my daughter could have her first child. My daughter needed to  be induced to have the child. She had been to the hospital 5 previous times and gone home without the baby.

By about 2 p.m., the doctor was going to send her home again without the baby. After protests from my daughter and my wife, plus support from the nurse, the doctor decided to try a ptocin drip. The ptocin drop was causing contractions and she had progressed a little. But, by 4:30 a.m. this morning, the baby was under stress. The doctor decided that it was time to take the baby with a C-section. A half hour later, the baby was delivered. My wife got to go into the delivery room with my daughter. Her husband was not feeling well and so he stayed out and got to do the new baby stuff in the nursery.

My wife got home around 6:15 a.m., took a shower, had breakfast and went to school. Sometimes the dedication my wife possesses is beyond my ability to comprehend. She has had almost no sleep since she got up around 6 yesterday morning. How she can still function is a mystery. I would be dead on my feet and would fall asleep as soon as I sat down for more than 5 minutes.

I went to see my grandson when I got home from my doctor visit. He is cute, though he is showing signs of the prolonged labor. That will go away with time. Many babies have deformed heads when they are first born. He is exactly the same size as my last grandson. That made my other daughter a little jealous.  She felt her son should have held a unique position of being six pounds and three ounces. We had to tell her that it was out of anyone's hands as the exact size the baby would be. I think it may have been the fact that she had to get up a little early.

They expect to keep my daughter at least one night and maybe two after the C-section. She will need the time to recover. She should not come home until she can take care of herself a little bit. There are a lot of people living in the house right now and you have to be able to take care of yourself to survive.

Thanks for this opportunity to talk about things of importance that get glossed over with the cares of the world. Sometimes we have to stop and smell the roses.

Global Warming Religion

Global warming has turned into a religion, not a science. When Al Gore spoke to the Senate, he talked like a preacher. He couched his religious talk in scientific words, but he was talking religion.

As a scientist, I prefer my science be about science. When I talk about a scientific principle, I do not say that there is a consensus among scientists. That would be absurd. But for global warming, Al Gore talks about how scientists agree on man caused global warming. You only do that when you do not have the confidence that the principle is really true. The last time that agreement among scientists was cited, Galileo was told that the sun revolved around the earth.

There is not broad agreement among scientists that man is causing global warming. In fact, when scientists actually look at the facts they agree that man is not causing global warming. Scientists that believe in man caused global warming fall into two categories. First: those that get funding for research. Second: those that were taught that man caused global warming  and never questioned the lack of facts.

The first group is interested in money. If there was no money for grants, most would not hold to the man caused global warming pablum. If the grant money was for sun caused global warming, they would be for that. Money gives them their opinion.

The second group is just intellectually lazy. They accept everything that comes from someone they respect. The only way to get to this group is education. The problem is that most of them are in education. If the money group disappears, this group will dwindle over time.

We need to get religion out of science. I am a religious person, but I do not mix religion and science. Al Gore should refrain from mixing the two also.

Democrats vote to surrender

With the vote on the Iraq war funding, and lots of pork, the House Democrats voted to surrender in 2008. How can they be so stupid? Don't they understand that if we leave Iraq, the terrorists will move in and kill every person that helped us in the last 4 years. But, they don't care about those people who might be killed. They are just concerned with making themselves feel good about stopping a war.

The Republicans played this one smart. They made the Democrats vote for surrender. They made sure that the Democrats had no room to hide and say that it was anything but surrender. That will pay off in the 2008 elections. Any Democrat who voted to surrender will have a hard time explaining their vote to people who are in danger of being killed by terrorists.

The bill is also loaded up with lots of pork. The Democrat party cannot be accused of fiscal responsibility. They cried that the Republicans were spending money like a drunken sailor. That was true. However, the Democrat party is spending money like an entire ship of drunken sailors. This bill should have been about nothing except funding for the troops. The Democrat party loaded it up with farm money and other funds to pay for their pet projects. The funding bill is ridiculous.

The bill will face a tougher fight in the Senate. There are more Senators who are fighting terrorists than there are House members who are fighting terrorists.Also, the Senate rules will make it more difficult for Harry Reid to run roughshod over the Senate like Nancy Pelosi can do over the House.The bill will also be vetoed if it reaches the President's desk.

We need politicians in Washington who understand what is going on in the world. Unfortunately, there are at least 218 people in the House that do not understand what is going on. They would be willing to have Islamo-Fascists come in and take over, rather than fight to preserve our liberty. We will find out how many there are in the Senate that feel like the 218 in the House. All of them should be kicked out of the government as incompetent. Unfortunately, you cannot do that. You have to wait for an election and hope that the people in their districts understand what the stakes are. Unfortunately, the ones in their districts probably get their information from newspapers and broadcast news. If that is the case, they are uninformed about the real stakes.

We need to all understand what is at stake in this war. We have people who have a goal to put us under Islamic law. I for one do not want to live under Islamic law. I care too much for the ones I love to ever want them subjected to Islamic law.

Al Gore's Testimony

Al Gore went to Capital Hill yesterday and testified before Congress on global warming. To hear Al Gore talk, global warming is a fact. He also said that ALL scientists agreed that global warming was man made. That is a bald faced lie. There are thousands of scientists that disagree that global warming is man made. Many of them are leaders in the field of climate and global studies.

We know that throughout time the temperature has gone up and it has gone down. We know that the average temperature has been much hotter and much colder during long stretches of time. We also know that we have data on the temperature from a very short period of time. The thermomotor was invented in the 1800's. It was not commonly available until late in the 1800's. The data available from that time is only as good as the people that gathered it. It is really only since around the time of Sputnik that we have accurate data for the entire globe. 50-60 years of accurate global data is not enough information with which to throw out our entire culture.

Al Gore cited the computer models as supporting global warming. Computer models have been spectacularly wrong about climate since computer models were first used. Also, if I have a bias that global warming exists, I can put information in the computer model to support my position. We have to rely on facts. We cannot rely on speculation. Computer modeling is speculation. I will admit it is impressive speculation, but it is still speculation.

Fact: the temperature has risen 0.7 degrees Centigrade in the last 100+ years. Projecting that into the next 100 years, I would have to assume that the rise would be similar. Al Gore assumes that the average rise will be 10 or more degrees. That is unrealistic.

Fact: the ice pack in the Antarctic is retreating in one area and rising in the other 80% of the area. Al Gore only cites the information on the area where the ice pack is retreating. Fact: there are more Polar Bears now than there have been since we have counted them. Al Gore insists that the Polar Bear is disappearing. His information is completely wrong.

I could go on, but I think you get the picture. Al Gore gives an incomplete or inaccurate picture of what is happening. He comes to a conclusion that is completely unrealistic by any scientific measure.  He does not tell us the truth all of the time. When the facts are easily checked, he still lies. If he lies when facts are easily checked, how can we trust him when the facts are harder to check. My conclusion on his testimony is that Al Gore showed himself to be a fraud and a phony. He is unwilling to walk the walk that he expects all of us to do. Until he gets more of a commitment and is willing to live under the restrictions that all of us will have to live with, I will not believe a word he says. He claims to be living a carbon neutral lifestyle. He is buying credits from himself and making a profit in doing so. That smacks of corruption in the worst way.

Global warming, if it is occurring at all, is natural. There is nothing any of us can do to stop it from happening. We can work to overcome its effects, but if it is occurring, we will not be able to stop it. I personally believe that the problem is that we are getting ready for another ice age. The signs are showing up and we are reaching the upper limit of time between ice ages. Just some food for thought on this 22nd day of March 2007, the first day of Spring.

Stand up and be counted

Now is the time for all who want to be President to stand up and be counted. There is no more time to "think" about the Presidency. Do you want to be President of the United States of America or not. If so, announce for the Presidency and get in the race. If not, then say so and let the ones running have the field free to fight the good fight.

Why do I say this? Right now, Newt Gingrich and Fred Thompson are "thinking" about running for President of the US. It is ok to think about being President. But, these two "thinkers" are sucking some of the oxygen out of the room for the three serious candidates running for President. The public opinion polls show that Rudy Giuliani is in the lead with Newt Gingrich or Fred Thompson in second. John McCain and Mitt Romney are essentially tied for third. That puts the "thinkers" in position to get the nomination if they choose. If they choose not to run, their "supporters" would have to choose one of the three remaining candidates. My guess is that most of them will go with Romney.

With Newt and Thompson out of the race, Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney would essentially be tied for the lead for the Republican nomination. For Romney that is his chance to shine. For Rudy, that is a disaster. He has to keep a sizeable lead to be viable. Once another candidate catches him, he will fall like a rock. Many of his supporters are there because they like his stance on the war on Islamo-Fascism. But, that is not much different than Romney or McCain. If either one catches Giuliani, they will pass him because they will pick up the values voters that Giuliani cannot claim in a primary.

The longer the "thinkers" take to make up their mind, the more difficult it will be for a true candidate to emerge. If they wait until the last minute, many voters will not have a chance to review their support. So, it makes it important that Gingrich and Thompson make up their minds soon. That will give everyone a chance to sort out who they really support when we know who is running. Right now, we do not know if we have all the horses in the race.

My guess is that Gingrich will decide not to run. He has too many negatives to win in the general election. He could win in the primaries, but the general election would be a problem. On Thompson, I am not so sure. If he decides to run, the nomination is his. If he pulls out, I believe the nomination will go to Mitt Romney.  For Giuliani to get the nomination, either Thompson or Gingrich would have to delay their decision until late in the fall. That would give Giuliani a chance to nail down support. If they pull out now, the support for them goes to the candidate with the most conservative credentials. That pulls that candidate even or close to even with Giuliani. When that happens, people will say, values may be important after all. If they do, Giuliani loses. He can only win if he keeps values out of the process. To do that, he has to maintain a significant lead in the polls leading into the primary season in January and February 2008. He cannot afford to slip to even or with a one or two point lead.

We are now waiting on the "thinkers". I hope they make up their minds within the next month. It would surely make life much easier for those of us who are interested in the future of the US.

Republican Fighters?

What the Republican base is looking for is two things. The first is someone who really has conservative ideals in mind. Of the three Republican candidates running for President, Mitt Romney is the closest to having that stance. He is criticized for coming lately to that position, but he is there. No matter how long it took, at least he got there. John McCain was there and is leaving. Rudy Giuliani never was there and is not showing any signs of actually becoming a conservative in anything.

The second thing the base is looking for is a fighter for the truth. Currently, none of the three have distinguished themselves in this regard. All have made small attempts, but when the chips are down, they have wimped out. We need a fighter as President. We need someone who will say, this is where I stand and you will not move me. Right now, we have some that say this is where I stand, but move if attacked. The first one of the big three to take a stand and fight to keep it will run away with the nomination. This issue will probably even dwarf the issues.

The best position is for the candidate to stake a position that is truly conservative. He then must defend that position with passion. By defending the position with passion, he will have demonstrated that he is truly a conservative that will fight. At that point, the nomination is his for the taking. Just like when Ronald Reagan said he paid for the microphone and then made a statement, he got the nomination at that point. That is what will happen here.

Rudy Giuliani has a reputation as a fighter. He can only energize the base by fighting about national security. Mitt Romney can choose the issue to fight on and win. He has to be willing to take the arrows to win the fight. Not taking arrows will not help him win. John McCain has not shown that he has the fire to be President. He seems to be shrinking with each and every day.

As I size up the three, Mitt Romney is in a position to actually set himself apart from the three candidates. He can fight and bleed for the cause. The slings and arrows from the msm will be intense. He has to show that he has the intestinal fortitude to hold his own under fire. That will win over converts that are conservative and want a conservative that will fight. Rudy Giuliani only has his reputation as a fighter to go on.

Right now, Rudy Giuliani is way ahead in the polls. John McCain is losing ground. Mitt Romney is slowly gaining, but too slowly. Newt Gingrich is inserted into the polls and easily takes second. If he stays out, most of his people will go to Mitt Romney. Mitt is the most conservative of the three running. I am not saying that he is a true conservative. I am saying he is the most conservative of the three we can pick from. So, with Newt out of the race, I put Mitt Romney comfortably in second place. He is within range of Rudy Giuliani and should be able to overcome the difference in a two person race.

That is how it looks to me sitting here in sunny Arizona this 20th day of March 2007.

Tempest in a Teapot

The Democrat party thinks it has a winner of a scandal. President Bush fired 8 prosecuting US attorneys a couple of weeks ago. The Democrat leaders went ballistic over such a terrible thing. They are calling for the head of Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez. The news media is beating this drum like Washington has never seen such a terrible scandal.

When Bill Clinton took office in 1993, he fired ALL of the prosecuting US attorneys. Some of them were investigating crimes by Democrat politicians, namely Bill Clinton. This immediately stopped all those investigations. The sheep Bill Clinton appointed would never find a Democrat in the wrong if the Democrat pulled out a gun and shot somebody in front of them. But, if a Republican watched a video of someone shooting someone, the Republican would be investigated for shooting another person.

It gets my goat that the news media has become part of the Democrat party spin machine. As far as the news media is concerned, all statements by Democrat politicians are true and should not be questioned. All statements by Republican politicians are false and all should be investigated for telling a lie.

They pull this with global warming. There is no scientific evidence to back up global warming. There is a lot of speculation and computer modeling to suggest global warming. There is a lot of scientific evidence to prove that the claims by global warming proponents are false. The news media refuses to print any of these stories, or if they do print the stories they are buried in the back of the paper. Which party supports global warming, the Democrat party. Which party questions global warming, the Republican party. Another example of Democrat always true. Republican always false.

I would love to see a newspaper or broadcast news agency actually report the news. I am not asking that it be reported as Republican news. I am saying that they should report the news. If a politician says something, they should check to make sure it is true. If it is false, the politician should be held to the standard of the truth. This should be iron clad for both parties. If the news agency or paper that did this, they would prosper and have great success. The ratings for their programs would go through the roof. The newspapers would fly off of the shelves.

I may as well ask for the moon as to ask for fairness in the news reporting. It would be nice for a change. Fox News does a pretty good job of it and look where their ratings are going. They are the top rated cable news. Soon they may even rival the big three of ABC, CBS and NBC. That would be delightful.

True Service

This evening, my middle daughter was married. The person that married her was our Stake President. In his regular life, he is a high powered attorney. I am not sure who he works for, but he was in New York and Washinton, D.C. on business this week. I also know he is of the high powered sort because he lives in an expensive neigborhood and drives expensive cars.

I remember when he first moved into the area around 24 years ago. He was fresh out of law school and newly married. I had been married all of 10 years. He seemed wet behind the ears. We became friends as he played on some of the same sports teams for a few years. After being friends for about 7 years, we both moved. He was fast becoming the high powered attorney. I was moving for the government. 

When we moved back here 6 years ago, he still seemed like the young man I was friends with, but older and wiser. We are still friends, though not as close as we were back then. 

At the wedding, he was amazed at the growth of some of the children he knew and taught in the 1980's. He did tell a couple of stories that embarrassed my kids as they think of themselves as fully grown up. 

The service that he performed for my family was as our Stake President. He received no money for the service. He had to take time away from his family on a Saturday night to perform the wedding. I am grateful to him for taking the time for my daughter. I know he would have done it for anyone in the Stake, but I still think it was done partially out of friendship. That is something that my daughter will probably never know. She does not know the relationship between the Stake President and myself outside of his being the Stake President. I will not tell her as she may think I am bragging. I just wanted to put my thoughts into writing.

Democrat Spin Machine

The Democrat party's search for the non-truth is underway on Capital Hill. First on the docket was none other than everyone's favorite non-spy Valerie Plame. She blasted the White House and the CIA for leaking her secret identity. She did not say that she was listed in Who's Who as the wife of Joe Wilson and that she worked for the CIA. That was published prior to her identity being leaked by anybody.

It never fails to amaze me how the Democrat party is never interested in the truth. They are only interested in any story, however fantantastic, that makes Republicans look bad. The truth is not important to them. The story does not even have to be verifiable. Even if the facts show that the story is completely false, they will hang on if the Republicans look bad. They will refer to it time and again. Republicans get tired of telling everyone the truth. So, eventually the story becomes accepted as fact by people who do not check facts.

There has to be some way of having the press check facts. The press has become an arm of the Democrat party. They never check a fact if given by a Democrat. In fact, the Democrat is assumed to be telling the truth. The Republican is assumed to be trying to tell a lie. This is so frustrating when you know the truth and see it turned around 180 degrees.

The only saving grace is talk radio and sites like townhall.com. They give truth a chance to spread to those who need to hear the message. I love my chance to tell the world what I think.
